Spring into Spring!

Room 1 went for a little walk to see if we could see some new leaves on our favourite tree. There were NO new leaves. We wonder if anyone told our tree that it was Spring? We will keep on watching. Here are a few of us hugging our tree :)

Check Out Our Jungle!

Room 1 has been learning about t for tiger, and l for lion, and e for elephant. We made some animals and we have put them onto the wall to make a JUNGLE! Can you see our fabulous work?

T for Tiger.

 We have been learning about the letter t in class this week. We have sketched tigers and we have made origami tigers with whiskers on them. Here is our beautiful art:

Walking around our school.

On our way to the  Library last week we stopped to check out our Room 1 tree. We noticed that the leaves are nearly ALL gone. The tree does not look alive anymore. We wonder what will happen over the school holidays?

Matariki Planting.

Our WHOLE SCHOOL planted a new seed or plant to celebrate Matariki. Here is Room 1 with our lovely pot plants. We decorated the pots with korus and we planted a bean seed into the soil.

Flit The Fantail.

 We are telling the story of Flit The Fantail in Room 1.

Afterwards we sketched Flit and we did such a FABULOUS job that we went through to Room 2 to display our sketches.
