BINGO!

We are playing BINGO!! 
First, Mrs Kerr sounds out a word like c - a - t.

Then we listen, and say the word - cat.

After, we can can put a counter on the word, if it is a match.
When we have 6 counters on our mat we shout - BINGO!

Our Swimming Obstacle Course.

Room 1 has made a plan! We are VERY good at swimming now so we thought it might be fun to make a course to put into the swimming pool for us to use. We had 5 orange cones, 2 hoops, 2 balls and 1 frisbee. We could not use the frisbee today because the wild, wild wind might take it far, far away!

We had to swim around the cones, through the hoops and throw the ball up in the air two times. 

LOOK OUT! Here we come!

2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional Lines.

We have been learning about 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional Lines. For short, we called them 2D and 3D lines. We started by sketching some lines on our paper. We took our pencil for a walk,                  

       THEN,                                                                                                        we took our scissors for a walk! We made straight lines, round lines, diagonal lines, spiral lines (Mrs Kerr helped us to make these ones) and zig zag lines. Some of our lines are near, far, short, medium, long or extra long, over, under, down or up. Some of our lines overlap. We also made some wavy and curvy lines. Our favourite lines were the ROUND lines. We glued to make a circle and then we glued the circle onto the paper. Here is our work:

Autumn Leaves.

Room 1 stopped on our way to the Library to see if we could see signs of Autumn in our tree. We noticed that MOST of the leaves are still green. A few of the leaves are yellow. Only one leaf was red. We also saw a few brown leaves. There were no purple or blue leaves. We will keep watching our tree to see if there are any more changes!

Monkey Bars.

This week our poem is called - Monkey Bars.

We went outside to see if we could try some of the ideas that the poem talked about:

I like monkey bars.
I can swing like a monkey.

I can hang upside down.

I can climb to the top.

I can jump to the ground.
I can swing with one hand.

I can dangle my feet.

I can hoist myself up.

I can shout when I land.
Hey! Look at me!
